Honoring one of Pekin’s favorite sons, Senator Everett McKinley Dirksen, the Pekin Marigold Festival has been one of central Illinois’ premiere community festivals since 1973.  Always held on the weekend after Labor Day, the Pekin Marigold Festival features a parade, a carnival, over 200 art & craft vendors, food, games, entertainment, and more!
