The Medal of Honor Memorial displays a Torpedo and two bronze plaques, one that has the words of the Medal of Honor citation inscribed on it and the other one honors 374 officers, and 3,131 men lost on 52 submarines during World War II. Located near downtown, it’s a popular spot for locals to relax, gather, and enjoy the outdoors.
